Olivier Babeau is professor of business strategy at Bordeaux University. He has published various studies on TV and movie industries, namely Le livre blanc des salles obscures: assurer la pérennité des salles dans l’intérêt de l’ensemble de la filière (2011); Télé-achat: la France doit-elle enfin acheter le concept ? (2013); Le financement du cinéma français à l’ère du numérique: nouveaux enjeux et nouvelles opportunités (2015).

In July, he will publish for the French think tank Fondapol a study on the French TV public sector.

Ina Bauer of ATV, has been working for Austria’s largest private TV station since 2004. She started her career as a journalist in California, where she lived and worked for 7 years. After returning home to Vienna she started her initial job at ATV as an editor. She then worked as the assistant to the former head of the news department and later as the assistant to the former CMO. By 2009 she was in charge of all matters related to „Alternative Income“. 2010 she was appointed head of „ Online & Diversification“, responsible for driving digital strategic change and innovation. 2011 the Special Ads department was integrated into her area of responsibilities. 2013 Ina took over the newly set up division „ Sales & New Media“, including all sales tasks. 2015 marketing was added and Ina became director of Sales, Marketing & New Media.

Ina holds a master’s degree from the University of Vienna.

He consults to film and TV industry players and is initiator, organiser and chairman of the euro§reg conference series, bringing together TV executives and regulators from all across Europe to discuss the future legal framework and business model of a converged TV industry!

Projects in 2015 include establishing with the European Electronic Retailing Association, ERA Europe, the mcms – multichannel money streams conference. He also consults Finnish partner establish a creative industry think tank series in Lapland.

Jack has led consultancy projects on subjects ranging from the market for children’s mobile entertainment to the potential of the applications business for media companies in the Middle East. Jack’s research and analysis includes studies of media companies’ mobile strategies, how content providers can best monetise mobile media and an investigation of mobile network operators’ response to the booming smartphone and tablet apps business.

Jack has a background in media intelligence and market research, having previously worked the marketing and media intelligence division of Emap where he led its research for a number of publications covering the UK advertising market.

A regular speaker at industry conferences, Jack is widely quoted in coverage of mobile media by trade publications and leading news organisations including the BBC, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The Guardian, Reuters, The Independent and USA Today.

Jack holds a degree in English Language and Literature from King’s College London and has previously worked for GfK NOP market research group.

Stephan (Dutch, 1967) started his career in 1991, working with the European Commission in the Directorate General for the Internal Market on the Green Paper on Commercial Communications and the first Data Protection Directive.

After consultancy assignments for the European direct marketing industry and the Dutch Advertising Association, in 1994 he became director of Brussels-based EU public affairs consultancy European Strategy. He advised pan-European clients in the telecommunications, e-commerce, advertising- & audiovisual media sector on regulatory issues & political strategies in Europe and implemented lobbying campaigns.

In 2000, he joined Chello Broadband, the first pan-European broadband ISP at that time, as director regulatory affairs & public policy. From 2003 until end 2015, Stephan was the director of public policy of Liberty Global in Europe reporting to the Chief Policy Officer. In this capacity he designed corporate regulatory- and public policy strategies and implemented (EU-) government relations campaigns to support Liberty Global’s European operations (Virgin Media, Ziggo, UPC Cablecom, Telenet and Unitymedia).

In 2016, Stephan joined a newly formed business unit at Liberty Global, ‘Advanced Advertising & Data’, as Director Data Policy & Privacy. He design and manages data privacy policies, outreach & communications campaigns to privacy stakeholders and go-to-market strategies for new business models around advanced advertising and advanced data.

Since 2013 represents the Teleshopping Industry in Europe and the Middle East as Executive Director of ERA Europe.

Prior to ERA, Julian Oberndörfer worked for 12 years at the German life shopping channel HSE24, where he held several management positions, his last being HEAD of Country Management Austria & Switzerland - which represented more than 10% of the company´s turnover. He was responsible for the day to day operations, the classic and digital marketing, as well as the PR-activities within these countries.

At the same time he acted as VICE President of Media Law, Media Politics and Distribution (MMD), in charge of the multichannel distribution of Home Shopping Europe’s three channels, “HSE24”, “HSE24Extra” and “HSE24Trend”, in analogue, digital and HD technology to approximately 100 million homes. Multichannel projects such as interactive TV, HbbTV or TV-Apps were a major asset of the HSE24 multichannel strategy, devised and steered by the MMD department. To safeguard the distribution, MMD was in charge of all the lobbying activities comprising legislation, regulation, frequency allocation, as well as all legal issues regarding these activities.

From 2005 to 2013 he presided as Chairman of the Working Committee for Independent Special Interest and Teleshopping Channels within the German TV Association "VPRT". 2007 he joined the board of directors of the Electronic Retailing Association Europe (ERA Europe). 2009 he was elected as Chairman of ERA Europe´s Government Affairs Committee, 2012 to 2013 he served as Chairman of ERA Europe’s Board of Directors. Currently he is serving on the Advisory Committee of the European Audiovisual Observatory - Council of Europe.

Prior to working in the teleshopping industry, he practiced at the law firm Kraske Härtel and worked for the Deutsche Bank HQ in Frankfurt.He is a graduate of LMU Munich and holds a Ph.D from TU Chemnitz on Internet payment systems and their legal monetary functions. He is also the author of the Commentary of European Media Law regarding Teleshopping.

Dr. Oberndörfer is the owner of a law firm in the south of Munich, specializing in media and telecommunication law.
